Welcoming change at the FitStop

Change is hard.

But it's necessary. It's necessary to grow as a person and not become stagnant in our ways.

Change is hard. But it's rewarding. We learn from change. We learn from experiencing things. We learn from stepping out of our comfort zone.

What is something you may need to change in your life right now? It doesn't need to be a big change. It could be a change in your eating. A change in your sleep schedule. A change in your attitude. Perhaps, a change in your workout. Ah. What a novel thought coming from a gym supervisor, eh? Haha. Truly though, sometimes we just need to spice up our workout; shock our bodies!

What new move will you try? What new weights will you lift?

Let's chat a bit about the Summer and what changes will be taking place here at FitStop.

:)

The gym itself will see a big shift in members' routines for sure. Some of you are seasonal workers and therefore will be busy all summer. Some of you are teachers and will have the whole summer off. Some of you live at the cottage elsewhere and perhaps change gyms due to location. Some take the summer months off to be outdoors. And some of you just keep pressing on all through July and August. Whatever your situation is, please know that we are here for you. If you feel that summers are hard to stay motivated in, reach out. Let's talk and create a "Summer Plan" to keep you moving.

The group class schedule will be changing as well effective July 4th. Here's a little rundown of what's to come.

Karla will be teaching 9am on Monday/Friday each week and alternating with Tracy on Wed.

Glenda is adding a Saturday 9am class starting July 12.

I (Tracy) will be adding in extra Active Recovery classes starting July 9. Same time 11:15 Mon and Fri and every other Wed.

20 min lunch crunch with Tracy will be on Tues and Thurs 12:15pm

And a 6pm Bootcamp with Tracy will be on Mondays.

All other classes stay the same (Pilates, Yoga and Sunrise Circuit).

As always, we need to be open to trying something new, and sometimes that means a different class at a different time on a different day.

Change is good. It's necessary. It's effective.

Here are a few other things to think about changing up (in the literal sense) in your life:

  • sneakers

  • toothbrush

  • water bottles

  • plastic baggies to reusable ones

  • cleaning supplies
