How to stay motivated in your Fitness Journey

Is it possible to stay motivated ALL the time?


At the beginning of your journey in fitness, it's important to find ways to stay motivated. After you've built habits, that motivation actually turns into discipline.

Today, however, we're going to dive into the motivation needed at the beginning!


How do you do it? What works for you? I'd love to hear your feedback.


Is it....?

  • Having a workout buddy? It's been proven, that for some, having a friend or family member workout with them keeps them motivated as it is a sort of accountability. Plus, it is a lot of fun!

  • Tracking sheets. Seeing your progress on paper is very motivating and makes you want to keep going!

  • A great Playlist. Sometimes all it takes is some good music to get you moving.

  • A personal trainer. When you know someone has your back and you learn to do the moves properly, and you're paying someone to help you, you show up.

  • Group fitness classes. Socialize and exercise!

  • A little Healthy fear. Meaning, sometimes it takes a health scare to motivate us to get going! Then, we keep it up so as to not end up that way again.

  • Challenges. Many have gotten started in their journey from joining a fitness challenge either online or in person.


All of these motivational ideas can also be the disciplinary ways to keep going with our fitness journey. Because, yes, it's a journey we need to stay on! And sometimes we need to be re-motivated and re-disciplined over and over. The ways above can help.
