Finish your workout with a bang...

Do you ever add a "finisher" to your workout? Explosive, constant movement to really get the heart rate up and the breathing heavy! Not only are they fun, but they fully exhaust muscles, spike metabolism, and boost fat loss. They improve anaerobic fitness, increase EPOC (calories burned post-workout), and build mental toughness by challenging you when tired, maximizing the efficiency of your workout.

Doesn't that sound amazing??!!

So, what are some good ideas for finishers? Well, battle ropes are great. Also, jump rope, a run on the treadmill, burpees, just to name a few.

This month at FitStop, if you take a look at the bulletin board, you'll notice a 1 min challenge each day. These can be excellent add-ons to your workout. Below you'll find a list of all the mini challenges FitStop has been offering so far. More to come as the month progresses.

Pushups

Burpees

Speed Skating

Speed Squats

Jump Rope

Rower

Back Rows

Bicep Curls

Battle Ropes

KB swings

Step Ups

Pull Ups

Assault Bike

Wall Sit

Plank Rotations

Lateral Raises

Jumping Jacks

Grab some ideas and create your own finisher.

It's recommended to do these explosive moves at the end of a workout so as not to tire yourself out before the real workout begins. However, you may be thinking that you will be too tired at the end. That is true, but adding finishers creates a new mindset! Men's Health Magazine says: " Finishers forge self-belief and determination, making you realize you can always go the extra mile."

AND, you feel good about yourself and you find out you can do pretty much anything!

Go ahead. FINISH your workout!
